Jan 2009 -We’ve made some progress on the Oval Race car. Both heater channels, A post repairs and another associated repairs have been done. This enabled us to take the body off. The chassis has now been IRS’d, Frame horns reshaped, front gearbox mount changed, mid mount brackets welded on, trapeze bar fitted, new pans and a trick hydraulic clutch. The hydraulic clutch system used is positioned inside the tunnel – allowing the original oval pedal cluster to be retained.
December 2008 - The chassis for the Irish oval is nearing completion with both pans now welded in place. In most cases the entire pans would have been replaced but to keep originality the rear pressings were kept as they are unavailable new. This has taken a lot more time and effort to do – but well worth it. Chassis will be blasted and powder coated shortly.
December 2008 This Type 25 came into us looking rather tatty and ‘well used’. The owner uses the van throughout the year for holidays and wanted it spruced up. The van had a few localised rust repairs, was then prepped and painted. It’s now looking great and ready for the new holiday seasons!
